Our Commitment
The Agenda 2063 Platform is committed to being accessible to all users, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across all public pages.
Accessibility Features
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements, menus, buttons, forms, and quiz controls, are fully operable by keyboard alone.
- Screen reader support: We use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes to ensure compatibility with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
- Colour contrast: Text and interactive elements maintain at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their backgrounds.
- Language support: Content is available in six languages (English, French, Arabic, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swahili), with correct language and direction attributes set on each page.
- Reduced motion: Animations on the Platform respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. Users who prefer reduced motion will experience minimal or no animation. - Responsive design: All pages are usable on a wide range of devices and screen sizes, from mobile phones to large desktop displays.
Known Limitations
The interactive dashboard map relies on SVG rendering. While we provide tabular data as an alternative, some complex map interactions may not be fully operable by keyboard or screen reader. We are working to improve this.
